Young Byrd #298? Where's that lodge at... I tried and couldn't find it on the FL Grand Lodge's lodge locator?
Greetings,
I'm a new member to the group. I am PDDGM from Suffolk Cty NY. I've been a Master Mason for 27 yrs, and consider it a way of life for me. Love to hear from Brothers throughout the various Jurisdictions.
Welcome, I am glad to see you have an interest in Freemasonry. There are hundreds of books, web-sites to check out, but I would suggest you sit down and talk with a Mason, ask questions, they will be perfectly honest with you. That would be the best way to learn.
hello everyone, happy and intrigued to be learning more about the community. Several ppl ive met and come in contact w over the years are members. including my brother in law,i have been doing quite a bit of thinking about my life latley, and the common threads that the ppl ive met who are members, have in common.I must say every member iv come in contact w has left a good impression on me. Im proud to say that ive met them.
As you travel East to find knowlege, the darkness of the West is to your back and the rays of knowledge shine upon your face. As you go to battle ignorance keep in mind ignorance is not a bad thing it simply means not knowing. Stupidity is knowing and not caring. If we SHINE more we can enlighten the ignorant and battle stupidity to a point where both groups become an allies.
Dose anyone know where George Washington Lodge is ? The one where he went through his EA, FC and MM Degree ...

Fireman99 -- I sincerely hope the heat has been repaired in the lodge, this just gives you another reason to move toward the light, it's warmer.:) I admire your enthusiasm for the FC degree and wish there was some way I could get to to see you being passed to the degree of a FC mason. Best of Luck and just enjoy this journey.
Brother Custer, I feel if I could get the WM part of my EA on recording, I could do my part alot better....with all the family obligations and work, it is hard to get together with one mentor as much as one would need. We have the cipher book here in Indiana but if you dont know what it means, well then it just looks like letter....which is what it is supposed to be for a non Mason......but until you learn it as an EA...what do you do??
I by no stretch of the imagination think there should be changes, well major changes....I just wonder how someone with a very busy life can get the work done. I am fortunate and have a job where I work 24 hrs then off for 48 which allows me plenty of free time, especially during school hours when the kids are at school....

BTW, my name is Steve Whitaker and I am from Aurora IN and am my Lodge is Aurora #51 F&AM of the Grand Lodge of Indiana
